Drak is a kaiju. To be a kaiju is to be huge, and Drak is definitely huge. Standing taller than most combiners, the beast is quite imposing.

Drak’s species are known as Eyesaurs. Eyesaurs have a unique biology wherein most of their major internal organs are all located within their large eyeballs. The massive saurian bodies area disconnected growth that the eyeball can control via simple electrical nerve pulses from inside the body. The body itself has its own set of organs with which to sustain itself, but no brain. If separated from its eye, the body will die after a short period of time. The body is used to hunt and feed, it’s stomach specially designed to produce a food slurry in the mouth, that the eyeball absorbs through its surface. The eyeball is helpless when disconnected, and cannot eat. It will however quickly grow a new body in a matter of days. Though to reach full size takes some considerable time. The secondary mouth on its tail is used to aid in feeding as the normal maw is often preoccupied with carrying the eye.

Drak himself is of a particularly rare subspecies known as a Colossal Eyesaur. Eyesaurs are huge anyway, but Colossal ones are massive. They sport a crimson color scheme, and possess horns, teeth, and claws made entirely form gold. Somehow it metabolizes gold from the steady diet of rocks and ore that it consumes, alongside other organic materials. Unfortunately, their golden adornments are why they are so rare. Rogue mecha poachers hunted most of the species to near extinction.

Even as far as Colossal Eyesaurs are concerned, Drak is particularly vicious. He is apparently very old, and a skilled fighter. He can strike with his tail with enough force to reduce a skyscraper to dust. His tail is also strong enough to throw mecha with ease. He even has the unique ability to blast a stream of fire from his mouth. (Provided he move his eyeball to his tail. Which is apparently a bit disorienting for the big guy) He has apparently gone through a few bodies over the years. The above appearance is not even his full size. His full size and morphology is completely unknown, as his bodies are usually killed before he can reach it.

Despite his vicious tendencies, Drak is a beloved staple of Tower City. He prefers to stay in the forests and mountains outside of town. He is a loner, and mostly just wants to be left to his own devices. If nobody bugs him, he is usually a peaceful and lazy creature. He really dislikes humans, but doesn’t have a taste for them. He prefers to avoid them most of the time. He does however suffer from a bad case of claustrophobia. Sometimes when he isn’t paying attention, he will inadvertently wander into Tower City. The tall buildings suddenly surrounding him tend to result in rampages. Drak does have a few individuals he tolerates, and they are fellow kaiju, Gurk and Weg. The reasons are not known.

Since he is such a beloved creature, (and tourist attraction) Drak has a special protocol for dispatching him. Kill the body, spare the eye.
