Rex is a pretty luckless. The poor guy just wanted be a hero. Unfortunately things never quite go as planned. His mecha is the Righteous Rex (a name he shared back during his days with the Saurus Squad), a large robotic Tyrannosaur. It is strangely expressive and may have rudimentary personality of its own. Perhaps it’s just Rex being particularly attuned to its aether drive and he’s manipulating it unconsciously.

Rex got his position as Justisaurus’s right arm thanks to nepotism. As the rookie, he was pushed around by his team constantly. Rex was quickly let go from the team after a minor case of insubordination, which the taskmaster, Brave Brontosaurus, simply couldn’t tolerate. After being fired from the Saurus Squad, Rex has been couch surfing at Tad’s scrapyard.

Since being handed his pink slip, Rex has been pretty depressed, and he’s doing anything he can to find an identity. He’s been getting into some less than heroic activities, like loitering, graffiti, and corporate sabotage. Even when he’s acting out, he still can’t bring himself to cuss. He’s also a bit of a Cassanova. He likes to flirt with anything remotely female, but it rarely works out.

Not a good hero, not a bad guy, and not a ladies man, but maybe, just maybe, he’s a halfway passable substitute ranger.
